What We Will Need
The base – 1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk (although you could use coconut milk for creaminess)
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon MCT oil or coconut oil (only if you want to add more fat and it helps to make the smoothies really smooth).
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
additional one tablespoon of grated orange zest than used in the recipe for an extra burst of freshness.
½ teaspoon orange extract, as per your choice
1- 2 tablespoons powdered erythritol (or preferred keto friendly sweetener)
4-5 ice cubes
Optional Garnishes
Fresh orange zest
Keto-friendly whipped cream
How We Are Going To Do It
step 1 : Mix all the wet ingredients: In a blender mix the unsweetened almond milk, heavy cream, MCT or coconut oil (if using), vanilla extract, orange zest, orange extract, and sweetener. Throw in ice cubes to make it more ice cold and crunchy.
step 2 : Pulse/Pulse: Pulse or turn on high so that all the mixtures and ingredients are fully incorporated into one another and you have a smooth texture on your drink.
step 3 : Serve and Sip: Take a sip of the drink and mix more of sweetener or orange extract depending on the amount of sweetness or orange flavor desired.
step 4 : Garnish the orange creamsicle drink with some fresh orange zest or a spoonful of sugar-free whipped cream if you would like.

FAQs
1- Can I use real orange juice?
• Original orange juice contains natural sugar which is a no-go zone for the keto diet and contains a high amount of carbs. For that citrusy flavor, however, we replace it with orange zest and orange extract, no additional carbs added.
2- What if I don’t have orange extract?
• You can add some additional orange zest, or just a few drops of food grade orange oil if you fancy the taste.
3- Can I make it thicker?
• For a thicker milkshake-like, create some almond milk into ice cubes and blend or add little heavy cream into the quantity you are using.
Tips for the Perfect Keto Orange Creamsicle
• Adjust the Flavors: The strength of the orange extract differs and it’s advised users dilute the extract and easily add boiled water to increase the extract strength if underestimated. You can also choose how sweet you want the sauce to be more to your taste.
• Get Fancy: This cranberry sauce goes well served chilled, garnished with the remaining orange zest or lightly whipped cream.
• Chill it: To have a thicker, frostier shake use more ice cubes or frozen almond milk.
